"Life moves fast and it's easy to lose our connection to the world around us. My life was frantic, I felt lost in the void of misguided goals. Taking weekly vacations wasn't possible but each time I hiked the woods of BC, it felt like another world to me. Stepping away from the concrete jungle we live in to be out in nature, gave my life balance I never knew was possible. The more I went trekking, the more I desired to connect with nature and the earth. Once I started rock collecting, I felt the earth and recognized the beauty of nature being beyond anything I every imagined before. I was inspired by the art of nature and wanted to share that feeling with others. The millions of years it took to create the gemstones I collect, is like holding the history of the earth in your hand when you have the stones. I wanted to feel more nature with me everyday, so my new Wood-Rock Art combines multiple treasures from the earth that I can see and touch each day in my own home."
